Meet Sam Kane
Sam Kane is an attorney with decades of experience fighting for the rights of New Mexicans. While he was not born here, Sam fell in love with New Mexico early in life and called it home. Like many of us, Sam knows that the New Mexico government and the justice system can do better to provide order, security and economic and social stability.
His experience directly protecting the rights of the people brings a real-world perspective to the office of Attorney General that this State needs now more than ever.
Sam is an avid cyclist, a proficient pilot, and a devoted father and husband. His wife Jessica is not only his partner in business, but his partner in life.

The purpose of laws and legal systems is to provide order, security and economic and social stability for the people. It is the Attorney General’s duty to ensure our laws and legal systems do just that—for all of us.
Targeted Crime Reduction
We will work tirelessly to combat the specific crimes causing the most harm to individuals and families, such as the influx of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl in our communities.
Working with Law Enforcement
Sam Kane stands with law enforcement to keep New Mexico safe. Officers will be directly supported, trained, and equipped to tackle crime decisively.
Investing in the Next Generation
State and local departments and agencies will work together to encourage and create programs that give at-risk youth a better path forward.
